Bobby played End for Minnesota in 1904-1906. He was the first African American to play football in the Big Ten. Bobby played pro football for the Minnesota Deans and the Minnesota Marines from 1907-1918. In 1919 he came to the Rock Island Independents at age 39. He played for Rock Island and Duluth in the NFL from 1920-1924.
