INDEPENDENTS CLAIM TITLE AS THE DEFEAT THE 18 POINT FAVORITE WEST END OF MOLINE

The Independents made a few changes in their lineup and were able to hold the West Ends scoreless. Rock Island converted a drop kick in the first half to take a 4-0 lead. Mack had a second attempt that missed by a few inches.

After the half the West Ends we able to move the ball and keep the Independents out of their end. The game came down to the final possession. With time running out Hartzell of Moline brought the ball to the Rock Island 1 yard line. The Independents held Moline on 3 consecutive runs to keep them out of the end zone. The Independents took over at the 1 and were able to hold on to the ball and secure the victory.
